HarshaSatsangh is dedicated
to the joy of fellowship in Ahimsa as exemplified in the purest Advaitic
teachings of the Jnani Sage of Arunachala, Sri Ramana Maharshi. We emphasize
the universality of the doctrine of nonviolence and the teachings of
compassion as these themes are found in all major spiritual traditions and
religions of both the East and the West. Current issue Volume IV, Fall 2005

"Love is the actual form of God"
-Sri Ramana Maharshi
"Ramana Maharshi often quoted the Bhagavad Gita and said that the Lord sits in our Heart, as our own Heart, as our very own Self (Sri Krishna said to Arjuna, "I am in the Heart of all O' Gudakesa"). How to find this out? How to turn the mind within is the great dilemma for all seekers of spiritual enlightenment. In the classical Yoga paths as well as in the non dual tradition of Advaita Vedanta, Satsangh is considered the most important factor for spiritual development. Ramana Maharshi, the Great Jnani Sage of Arunachala, often said that Satsangh leads to Self-Realization. My Jain Teacher, Chitrabhanu Ji, who visited the Sage Ramana in his teen years, has said that the company of saints even for a short time provides a great impetus for spiritual development. Satsangh is a Sanskrit term meaning "The Company of Truth,(Reality, Existence, or Self)." In practical terms it means the company of friends on the spiritual path that provide a support structure for our growth. We bow to the circle of our friends, the great sages and teachers, and for their generous love through countless lives that has become the glue that holds us all together." Harsha
